What I Wore

Hey y'all! Sorry I missed last week! But because of that, I have more than twice the number of outfits to show you this week! :) I'm linking up with the Pleated Poppy, of course!

Outfit #1

We are celebrating the 40th Anniversary of Junior League's Second Time Shop (an upscale resale store), and at the most recent General Meeting the Board members were asked to wear items that were purchased there. Here's a couple of the items I found for really great prices!

The back of the vest is really cute - it's in a great gold damask fabric and dips low and has fun buttons, too.

Vest - CAbi via STS - $3.60(!) / Tank - Old Navy / Necklace - Kohl's / Pants - Style & Co. / Shoes - Marc Fisher via STS - $19.20

Outfit #2

I wore this to work and then to an event at the Design Center. Although I felt cute, the event was pretty fancy, so I wish I would have dressed up a little more. Though I love this top, it shows every little crease. Even after I ironed it, it showed slight fold marks from hanging in the closet. But the polka dot pants are totally fun!

Top - JCP - $19.99 / Pants - Joe Fresh via JCP - $17.84 sale / Shoes - Marc Fisher

This is the dinner table at the event I went to that night. Fancy, right?

Outfit #3

Just another work day. I like finding ways to wear a maxi skirt, which for some reason is traditionally a summer thing, in the fall in winter.

Top - Old Navy / Belt - Charming Charlie / Skirt - Bopeau / Shoes - Sam Edelman via Nordstrom Rack - $69.97 sale from $120.00

I love the patent cap toes. These are seriously the most comfortable shoes. And the only flats my boss has ever liked. He's pretty picky.

Outfit #4

Blazer - Talbots / Scarf - ASOS / Shirt - J. Crew / Belt - Coach / Jeans - Levi's / Shoes - Calvin Klein

Outfit #5

Taken at John's house - sorry for the poor quality phone photo!

Sweater - Old Navy / Scarf - H&M / Jeans - Liz Claiborne via JCP - $25.49 sale from $40.00 / Shoes - Anne Klein

Outfit #6

Another outfit from John's house. The shorter sweater over the longer shirt was not the most successful look, but it was a little chilly in the morning so I needed it.

Cardi - Target / Shirt - Marseille / Capris - Style & Co. / Shoes - Marc Fisher

Outfit #7

Ahhhh, fall in Colorado. One day sweaters are necessary, the next a tank is fine!

Top - Target / Capris - AB Studio / Shoes - Tahari

Outfit #8

Michelle and I had birthday dinner plans after work, so I dressed up a little. Dinner at Linger was fabulous! I highly recommend!

Dress - Target / Belt - ? / Shoes - Coach

Outfit #9

And back to cold days! This dress is interesting. It's actually a maternity dress, but I was in love with the print and they didn't have it in the regular girl's section, so I bought it anyway. I did cut off the little ties, because they made it seem even more maternity. Then the black part of the print sometimes looks like it's navy, so it confused me for a long time. After much discussion, boss man and I decided that it is just a black with blue undertones. Crazy that it took two interior designers a really long time to determine a color. :)

Dress - Target / Tank - Target / Necklace - Kohl's / Belt - ? / Tights - Assets / Shoes - Marc Fisher

Outfit #10

My favorite way I've worn these pants yet! And apparently I love these shoes.

Cardi - Target / Tank - Target / Necklace - Charming Charlie / Capris - Dana Buchmann / Shoes - Marc Fisher

Outfit #11

I am in love with this sweater. I adore the little peplum and it is so soft and comfortable.

Cardi - Target - $11.48 sale from $22.99 / Shirt - Croft & Barrow / Pants - Style & Co. Shoes / Audrey Brooke

Outfit #12

Hi Lulu! I wore this out to dinner with friends. I originally wore jeans to work, but wanted to dress up a bit for dinner.

Sweater - CAbi / Top - J. Crew / Necklace - Charming Charlie / Belt - from a dress / Pants - Style & Co. / Shoes - Sam Edelman

Whew! That's finally it! Hopefully I'll get back on schedule now. See you next week!

  1. You find the cutest dresses at Target! I just thrifted a Target maternity dress but I need one of those big belts to pull it off. I'm going to check Charming Charlie's!
