What I Wore

Welcome back to another week of what I wore! I'm linking up with the Pleated Poppy, of course!

Outfit #1

I've really been trying to limit my clothes buying lately, but a few things have slipped through the cracks. This sweater is one of them! I fell in love with it when I saw it in the catalog and decided I must have it. Soon after seeing it, I got a 30% off email - great news! The model in the catalog wore it just like this, but her white shirt was longer than the sweater so you could see the tails and the cuffs were folded up over the sweater cuffs. I liked that look a little better, but this is what I had to work with. Also, this sweater isn't really a sweater. It's almost a really fancy sweatshirt/sweater hybrid.

Outfit #2

My first day of being sick - I had to go to work, so I decided I needed to look nice to help me feel better. It didn't work. :(

Cardi - Target / Shirt - Halogen / Belt - from a skirt / Pants - Style & Co. / Shoes - Coach

Outfit #3

Another sick day. And honestly, I wouldn't have even gotten dressed except I needed to be at an event my Council was putting on at Junior League. I planned to be there for maybe an hour and was there for three - I couldn't get away!

Cardi - Boston Proper / Tank - Target / Necklace - gift from my old boss / Jeans - Levi's / Boots - Guess

Outfit #4

Yep, still sick. Yep, another Junior League meeting to get dressed for. I guess it's a good thing I can still function pretty well when sick!

Cardi - JCP / Shirt - Loft / Jeans - Levi's / Boots - Guess

Outfit #5

Stripes two days in a row. It was absolutely gorgeous this day - 65 degrees, sunroof open. I planned to leave work early and walk the dog in the fabulous warmth, but by the time I left work it had dropped 30 degrees and was crazy windy. It sucked!

Cardi - J. Crew / Shirt - Worthington / Belt - from a skirt / Pants - Style & Co. / Shoes - Coach

Outfit #6

It's my birthday! Yep! I'm 37 now and that actually makes me feel old. :(  I'm not really doing anything special on the actual day of my birthday, and that's fine. I had to work, John is out of town, and I have a Junior League meeting tonight. I'll celebrate later! And look, a third straight day of stripes!

Shirt - H&M / Necklace - boutique in High Point, NC / Belt - ? / Skirt - Target / Tights - Target / Shoes - Marc Fisher

That's it for this week! See you back here next week!

What I Wore

Welcome back to another week of what I wore! For some reason I only have three outfits - I'm not sure if I missed one, but I'm actually putting this together early for once, so I know I'm missing one outfit because of that. I'm linking up with the Pleated Poppy, of course!

Outfit #1

I wish you could see the detail on this dress - it's a really cute sweater-like knit.

Dress - Max Studio / Jacket - Gap / Belt - Kate Spade / Boots - Duo

Outfit #2

My Valentine's Day outfit. It was either this or the red sweater with a pink heart that I wore last year. I opted for monochromatic and not too festive, since I'm single. :)

Shirt - Old Navy / Blazer - Talbots / Belt - ? / Jeans - Levi's / Shoes - Calvin Klein

Outfit #3

It's been so nice in Denver lately - nice enough for bare legs and not wearing a coat at lunchtime.

Cardi - Target / Tank - Target / Skirt - Loft / Shoes - Marc Fisher

That's it for now! I'll see you back here next week!

What I Wore

Here we are again with another week of outfits! I'm linking up with the Pleated Poppy, of course!

Outfit #1

Layers, layers, and more layers! It was still so flipping cold!

Sweater - Target / Shirt - Land's End / Jeans - Levi's / Boots - Guess

Outfit #2

I really love the detail on this skirt, but I think it looks better with different shoes. But it was too cold to bare my legs, so brown boots it was.

Sweater - Loft / Tank - Loft / Skirt - Sunny Leigh / Boots - David Tate

Outfit #3

I loved this pairing - the muted pastel colors and the long flowy scarf and cardi together. Lovely. Except the sweater developed a hole in the shoulder seam after just one wearing and before ever washing it, so now I have to see if I can exchange it.

Cardi - Target - $22.99 / Scarf - H&M / Shirt - Daisy Fuentes / Jeans - Levi's / Boots - Guess

Outfit #4

Had to cut out my head because I didn't bother putting on makeup this day. :) I love this new shirt - it's totally not my usual style, but I decided I needed some more casual things for the weekend and I really liked this color combo.

Shirt - Target - $14.99 / Jeans - J. Jill / Flips - Land's End

Outfit #5

This outfit is a bit of a go-to for me now. And though I didn't go to work because I wasn't feeling well, I did wear this to the Junior League meeting. I had to give a short presentation and would be presented as part of next year's Board of Directors, so I wanted to look nice. And what better time to bust out the red lipstick than when you're not feeling great? :)

Cardi - CAbi / Shirt - J. Crew / Pants - Style & Co. / Shoes - Coach

Outfit #6

Another pairing I really like - the green cardi over polka dots. Usually my go-to cardi color is pink, but I decided to mix it up a bit this day.

Cardi - J. Crew / Shirt - Lauren Conrad / Pants - Style & Co. / Shoes - Coach

Hope you enjoyed my week of outfits! See you back here next week!

What I Wore

Welcome back to another week of what I wore! I'm linking up with the Pleated Poppy, of course!

Outfit #1

I stayed at John's house for a few days last week, hence the different background. Did I mention last time I wore this dress that it's a maternity dress? Yep. I cut off the attached ties and when I wear the wide belt, it's totally not noticeable that it's meant for a preggers lady. :)

Dress - Target  / Tank - Target / Belt - ? / Necklace - Kohl's / Tights - Assets / Shoes - Marc Fisher

Outfit #2

Wearing my Thanksgiving outfit that I got so many compliments on.

Top - Darling via ASOS / Cardi - Target / Pearl Necklace - gift from my uncle / Pants - Style & Co. / Shoes - Coach

Outfit #3

I didn't particularly like this outfit, but it was snowy and cold and this was what I had.

Top - Worthington / Scarf - gift from my SIL / Jeans - J. Jill / Boots - David Tate

Outfit #4

Cheering on my Broncos at the Super Bowl with a totally improvised outfit! (It's hard to tell, but the cardi is navy.) Too bad they lost. :(

Top - Wallis / Cardi - Loft / Jeans - Levi's / Boots - Guess

Outfit #5

Trying to mix thing up a little bit.

Tank - Target / Scarf - ASOS / Jacket - Gap / Skirt - Bopeau / Boots - Guess

Here's a closer look at my shorty cowboy boots. I've had them since highschool ( I begged my mom to buy them for me!), but I always forget I have them. I recently unearthed them and I'm determined to wear them more often because they're pretty dang cute!

Outfit #6

It has been seriously cold and snowy here. I feel like I can't get wear enough layers.

Top - Apt. 9 / Blazer - Talbots / Pants - Land's End / Belt - Coach / Boots - Ros Hommerson

Outfit #7

Today the high in Denver was -1. Seriously. And the heater in my car isn't working. I'm pretty sure I got frostbite driving to work. (obviously not really!) I'm wearing a tank, a long sleeved t-shirt, and then the sweater. I was sweating while getting ready and froze my ass off in the car.

Sweater - Boston Proper / Tee - Rebecca Beeson / Jeans - J. Jill / Boots - David Tate

That's it for this week! See you again next Wednesday!
