What I Wore

Welcome back to another edition of What I Wore! I'm linking up with Real Girl Style and the Pleated Poppy, of course!

Outfit #1

I'm determined to get a lot of use out of this dress before it's too cold to wear it anymore. But I may even transition it into fall with the help of a sweater and knee-high boots, because I love it so much!

Dress - J. Crew / Flips - Coach

Outfit #2

I have absolutely no problem wearing white after Labor Day. And in face, I will wear my white jeans throughout winter, though I will have to put this white linen skirt away very soon.

Top - Warehouse via ASOS / Belt - Charming Charlie's / Skirt - Target / Shoes - Cole Haan

Outfit #3

I got so many compliments on my outfit this day it was shocking. I mean, I know how much I love these pieces and how much I love pairing stripes and polka dots together, but it's really not a universal love.

Top - H&M / Necklace & Bracelet - High Point boutique / Capris - AB Studio / Belt - Coach / Shoes - Liz Claiborne

Outfit #4

I wish you could see the details of this top better. The front is two loose swaths of fabric that are essentially completely open, just connected at the top and bottom that cross over each other. There's also a little zipper in the back. I really like it. It's totally loose and comfortable, but still slightly dressy.

Top - ANA via JCP - $16.99 sale from $34.00 / Necklace - Charming Charlie's / Pants - Liz Claiborne / Shoes - Steve Madden

Outfit #5

Okay, so this whole outfit is new, but it didn't cost much, I swear! I wore this to the Junior League Provisional Retreat. I knew I'd be generally just hanging out most of the day, but I also had a little presentation to give (still not good at that kind of thing!), so I wanted to be cute and comfortable. Also, these jeans are proof positive that you don't need to spend a ton of money on a pair of great looking, great fitting jeans. These are really good looking and fit my curves really well. I don't need to get the waist taken in at all, I just need to get them hemmed a little bit.

Top - Worthington via JCP - $5.09 sale from $14.00 / Scarf - Olsenboye via JCP - $2.52 sale from $13.00 / Jeans - JCP - $25.49 sale from $44.00 / Shoes - Calvin Klein via DSW - $69.95

Outfit #6

I actually ended up wearing a black cardi over this because it was so chilly! The last time I wore this top it was spring and it seemed better for fall. Now that it's fall I broke it out again, and it seemed much more appropriate.

Top - Liz Claiborne / Pants - Style & Co. / Shoes - Coach

That's it for the past week. See you again next week!

What I Wore

Welcome back to another week (or two) of what I wore! Sorry I missed posting last week. This Membership VP thing is taking up a lot of my time in the evenings and then I got completely  sucked into a new book series (blame Jeannine!), so I totally forgot to put a post together. But that means you get almost twice as many outfits this week!
I'm linking up with Real Girl Style and the Pleated Poppy, of course!

Outfit #1

I like wearing slightly fancy tops with long shorts and heels to work. Thankfully, my boss seems to find them work-appropriate, too.

Top - Worthington / Belt - Coach / Shorts - Lee / Shoes - Coach

Outfit #2

When I bought these earrings, I thought they were the same color as the shoes. Alas, they are not. While the shoes are bright, the earrings are crazy bright. But I figured that since they're an entire body length apart, it would be okay. Then my boss said that the earrings were a little much. :(

Top - Target / Tank - Target / Earrings - J. Crew / Capris - Dockers / Shoes - J. Crew

Outfit #3

Casual Friday. I've had this top for years, but for some reason rarely wear it. I actually really like it, so there wasn't really a reason I wasn't wearing it. I guess I didn't have the right accessories to wear with it until now. :)

Top - Tucker for Target / Necklace - ILY Couture / Jeans - Levi's / Shoes - Nine West

Outfit #4

I went to my friend Michelle's daughter's 7th birthday party in this. It was at a local pool, but I don't really do the pool - no way am I getting in a bathing suit in public. But this was an okay outfit. And the light colors and fabrics were good since it was crazy hot.

Top - Old Navy - $14.94 / Shorts - Target / Shoes - Sam & Libby for Target

Outfit #5

The general idea of this outfit isn't anything new or different, even though wearing this top with these pants is new. Last time I wore those super bright coral flats with these pants and I actually like the more simple look with just plain black heels.

Top - Target / Necklace - Charming Charlie / Pants - Dana Buchmann / Shoes - Coach

Outfit #6

This is my favorite way I've styled this skirt so far. It was a little chilly out, hence the sweater. In fact, this was day 1 of the crazy rains we got here in Colorado. Thankfully that's over for now and the sun has come back. And also thankfully, Denver generally missed the worst of the storms. Our basement flooded a little and ruined a few things, but compared to the total devastation some people have, it's completely small potatoes.

Tank - Target / Sweater - Target $22.99 / Skirt - Target / Shoes - Coach

Outfit #7

Day 2 of the rains - more warm clothes. And apparently I was having a bit of a thing with these shoes, since I wore them for three days straight.

Jacket - Coldwater Creek / Tank - Target / Necklace & Bracelet - J. Jill / Capris - CAbi /  Shoes - Coach

Outfit #8

Day 3 of the rains - I thought I'd need warm clothes again, but then it warmed up and I was crazy hot. We're not used to so much humidity with our sun. It was so sticky and icky. Oh well. (Hi Lulu!)

Sweater - Old Navy - $24.94 / Tank - Target / Necklace - Loft / Jeans - Levi's / Shoes - Nine West

Hope you enjoyed my outfits! I'll see you again next week!

What I Wore

Welcome back to What I Wore! I'm linking up with Real Girl Style and the Pleated Poppy, so click on their buttons to check them out!

Outfit #1

I love the idea of this silk t-shirt, but I don't love it on me. This has a teeny bit of elastic on the hem and I don't think it makes for the most flattering shirt. I'm not sure if my tailor would be able to do something about it or not... The color is nice and rich... I'll continue to ponder this one...

Top - Chico's / Necklace - J. Crew / Pants - J. Jill / Shoes - Nine West

 Outfit #2

I wanted to wear a different shirt with these pants, but I decided it was too busy together - ruffles and pindots on the top and the embroidery on the pants competed with each other, then the shirt I thought would look better was dirty, so a boring white tee was the only other thing I could think of since by that time I was running so late. (Wow! That was a really long run-on sentence! Sorry!)

Top - J. Crew / Necklace - High Point, N.C. boutique / Pants - Nine & Co. / Shoes - Coach

Outfit #3

I've worn this exact thing recently, but I really do love it and it's perfect for a casual day in the office when my boss is out of town.

Tank - Target / Cardi - Sonoma / Necklace - Charming Charlie / Pants - Liz Claiborne / Flips - Land's End

Outfit #4

Sunday was oddly chilly most of the day, so when I went to a friend's bbq, I wore this sweater so I could be warm enough outside all evening. Then it totally warmed up and I was sweltering. Denver. What can you do? It was more odd to be the only single, childless person there. Such is my life lately.

Sweater - Target / Tank - Old Navy / Jeans - ANA / Flips - Land's End

Outfit #5

It's a little tough to see because of the photo quality, but this dress has a little polka dot print and pleats along the bodice/neckline. It's really cute - I mean, really - polka dots and pockets! It came with the striped belt, which I thought was another really fun detail. It goes nicely with these wedges because they also have some black and white striped details and tan leather accents. But I've had the dress for a couple years and just bought the shoes at the beginning of summer. They were meant to be worn together!

Dress - Corey P. / Shoes - Jessica Simpson

Hope you liked my outfits! See you next week!
