What I Wore

Welcome back! Here's another week of What I Wore! I was too busy to upload these pics on Monday or Tuesday night, and I won't have time tonight because I'm going to meet one of my oldest and bestest's new baby, Ari. I can't wait to see him! (I sorta have baby fever, a dangerous and inexplicable thing for a single girl.) But anyway, I'm posting this while at work (shhhh!), so I'm going to have to be a little short.
Linking up with Real Girl Style and the Pleated Poppy, of course!

What I Wore

Welcome back to another week of what I wore! I was house sitting for my boss, so you'll notice that most of my pics have a much nicer background than usual. I kind of like how neutral it is, but alas I have since returned home to my regular background of my green bedroom. :)
I'm linking up with Real Girl Style and the Pleated Poppy, so be sure to check them out!

Outfit #1

I wore this to work and then the Junior League's General Meeting. We were taking our "all Board" photo (kind of like a class photo), so I needed to be dressed nicely. I've had this dress for years and love the fit and flare style and of course the pockets! It has a matching fabric belt, but I wanted the structure of a leather belt this day.

Dress - Ralph Lauren / Necklace - Stella & Dot / Belt - ? / Shoes - Tahari

Outfit #2

Another work day. I didn't recall that I needed to wear a tank under this top, but the neckline is way too deep to be office appropriate, even if I was in there by myself!

Top - Talbots / Tank - Target / Pants - Old Navy / Shoes - Candies

How good of me to match my toes to my outfit!

Outfit #3

I hadn't actually planned to wear this outfit - I wanted to wear white shorts and a white tank, but for some reason those just didn't look right with this top and I had a design event to go to in the afternoon where I knew I wanted to be cute and comfortable. In the end, this didn't fit the bill even with the revisions. I was hot with the long sleeves and layers, and my feet hurt from walking around the Design Center for half the day in sky-high wedges. Oh well.

Top - The Limited / Tank - Old Navy / Capris - Dockers / Shoes - Sam & Libby for Target

Outfit #4

Another outfit that I didn't like that much. It's tough planning out a weeks worth of outfits without bringing any backups. This just didn't look as cute on as it did in my head.

Top - Joe Fresh / Tank - Target / Jeans - Levi's / Shoes - Black Rooster

Outfit #5

Michelle and I went down to Castle Rock to shop at the factory stores. Dangerous! Though I did actually keep myself mostly in line. I got this cute patootie dress (which they shockingly had in my size!), and decided it needed to be worn right away on Saturday to the Junior League recruitment session. It seemed sort of dressy for a Saturday morning thing, so I added the jean jacket and flips to dress it down a bit. Hopefully I made a good impression to our potential new members! (More pockets!)

Dress - J. Crew - $29.98 sale from $138.00 / Jean Jacket - Gap / Flips - Coach

Outfit #6

And here's my other J. Crew item. I've loved this sequined chevron tank for ages but no way would I pay full price for it! Surprisingly, they had this at the factory store. I'm glad I was able to try this on before buying it, though. If I had ordered this online I would have gotten a size larger, and that would have been a mistake. This smaller size is definitely large enough! (Happy day!)

Tank - J. Crew - $20.98 sale from $88.00 / Skirt - Bopeau / Flips - Tory Burch

Hope you enjoyed my outfits and that you'll come back next week!

What I Wore

Welcome back to another What I Wore! I'm linking up with Real Girl Style and the Pleated Poppy, so make sure to click on their buttons over to the right to check out the other bloggers' style!

Outfit #1

Not too much to say about this, but John did compliment me on my shoes. :)

Cardi - Worthington / Tank - Loft / Necklace - Charming Charlie / Capris - 212 Collection / Shoes - Target

Outfit #2

Denver has been kind of chilly lately, it's weird. Usually in August we hit the high 90s and 100s, but not this year! So I've been wearing more layers and long pants, sweaters, etc. to keep warm.

Cardi - Loft / Tank - Target / Jeans - J. Jill / Shoes - Sam & Libby for Target

Outfit #3

I changed into this outfit later that night - I needed to dress up a little more for an interview. I'm super excited because I got the position (the reason I've been so busy as of late!) and now I am the Membership Vice President for Junior League! It's a lot of work, but I'm very excited. :)

Cardi - Loft / Tank - Old Navy / Belt - from a skirt / Skirt - Loft / Shoes - Coach

 Outfit #4

I absolutely love how this outfit came together! Seriously, how can you go wrong with a peplum, pink, and polka dots?!

Top - Target / Necklace - ILY Couture / Pants - J. Crew / Shoes - Liz Claiborne

Because I just love these shoes so much...

 Outfit #5

Another thing I love these days - the sock bun. :) Again, I wouldn't normally wear jeans this time of year because they're too hot, but... And usually I wear this outfit with cowboy boots in the fall. The colors of the top are kind of muted, with reminds me of fall and for some reason the style of it (it's got a tie belt and ruffles that wash out in the picture) seems great when paired with cowboy boots. Hmmm...I wonder where those boots are? Maybe still in storage...

Top - Elle? / Jeans - Levi's / Shoes - Nine West

Outfit #6

When I bought this top quite a few years ago I absolutely loved it. And while I still love the print, the colors, and the fabric, the style makes me feel like I'm wearing a robe. I have plenty of things that have a tie at the waist, but this one actually closes by the tie, with no other attachments. I don't think it particularly looks like a robe, but I feel it when I'm wearing it.

Top - CAbi / Tank - Old Navy / Capris - Dockers / Shoes - Coach

Hope you enjoyed my outfits this week! See you next time!

What I Wore

I am so late in putting this post together, and for that I apologize! But I've had some busy nights and just haven't had the time to get it done. But here it is at last. Better late than never, I suppose! (And of course it's late on Wednesday night and I'm tired, so I'm going to omit some of the commentary. I'll be better next week - promise!) Linking up with Real Girl Style and the Pleated Poppy, of course!

I do have to say that I plan on adding a crochet or lace trim to the bottom of this skirt because I think it's too short on me.
